In the fourth quarter of 2023, the insurance app market in Kenya showed varied performance across different applications. Here’s an overview of the top 5 insurance apps on the iOS platform based on data from Sensor Tower.

My NHIF Selfcare Application saw a consistent download trend throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, peaking at 339 in the week of October 2 and later stabilizing around 210-303 towards the end of December.

LCT AFRICA experienced a significant decline in weekly downloads after an initial spike. Downloads dropped from 450 in the week of November 13 to just 6 by the end of December, indicating a sharp decrease in new user acquisition.

Be.Well by Slade360° maintained a modest download rate with minor fluctuations. Weekly downloads ranged from 41 at the end of September, dropping to 2 in the first week of December, and then slightly recovering to 16 by the end of December.

ICEA LION had a relatively low but steady download performance. Weekly downloads varied between 7 and 37 throughout the quarter, with no significant spikes or drops.

Old Mutual showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads during the quarter. Starting with zero downloads at the end of September, the app reached a peak of 19 downloads in the week of December 11, before dropping slightly to 3 by the last week of December.
