In Q4 2023, the top finance apps on iOS in Oceania, namely CommBank, PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage, Wise (ex TransferWise), ANZ Plus, and Westpac, exhibited notable trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance:

CommBank saw weekly downloads fluctuating between approximately 15K to 21K. The highest downloads occurred at the end of September with 21K, and the lowest in mid-November with around 15.5K. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 2M throughout the quarter, peaking at 2.1M in the last week of September and dipping slightly to 1.99M by the end of December.

PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage maintained a steady download rate, ranging from 14.7K to 17.7K. Downloads peaked in mid-November with 17.7K and were lowest in mid-December at 14.7K. Active users showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, starting at 91.9K and ending at 89.8K, with a notable peak at 97.5K in late November.

Wise (ex TransferWise) experienced consistent download numbers, generally around 12K to 13K. The highest downloads were in late September and late November, both around 13.1K. Active users showed a gradual increase, starting at 33.6K and ending the quarter at 33.7K, with peaks of 35.3K in late October and mid-December.

ANZ Plus saw a notable spike in downloads in early November, reaching 18.6K, while other weeks averaged around 10K. Active users increased from 139.8K in late September to a peak of 161.8K in early November, before slightly declining to 149.5K by the end of December.

Lastly, Westpac had weekly downloads ranging from 9.2K to 15.7K, with the highest number in mid-October and the lowest in mid-December. Active users grew from 462.4K in late September to a peak of 513.7K in early December, before dropping to 468.6K by the end of the quarter.
