In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top finance apps on iOS in Australia exhibited varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, active users, and revenue for the leading apps: CommBank, PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage, ANZ Plus, Westpac, and Wise (ex TransferWise).

CommBank experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting with around 20.6K in late September and seeing a slight dip to approximately 15.1K by mid-November, before ending the quarter with around 16.5K. Active users for CommBank remained relatively stable, starting at about 2.08M in late September and slightly decreasing to approximately 1.96M by the end of December.

PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage saw consistent weekly downloads, ranging from around 13.9K to 15.8K. The app’s active user base remained steady, fluctuating between 77K to 85K throughout the quarter.

ANZ Plus showed varied weekly download numbers, peaking at around 18.6K in early November and dropping to about 7.5K by the end of December. Active users for ANZ Plus saw a growth trend, starting at approximately 140K in late September and reaching around 152K by mid-December.
