As the year 2023 wrapped up, the dating app scene on iOS in the United States saw varied performances among the top contenders. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into how apps like Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends, Hinge Dating App: Match & Date, and Bumble: Dating & Friends App fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Starting with Tinder, the app saw a revenue increase in Q4, peaking at $4.8M in the final week of December. However, downloads showed a declining trend, dropping from 151K in late September to around 130K by year-end. Weekly active users started at 3.85M and dipped to 3.6M over the same period.

Hinge also experienced revenue growth, with a significant jump to $2.8M in the last week of December. Downloads had a slight downward trend, with initial figures of around 120K reducing to just over 100K. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 2.4M mark throughout the quarter.

For Bumble, the revenue trend was upward, reaching over $3.4M by December's end. The app's downloads fluctuated mildly but ended the quarter with an uptick to 94K. Weekly active users, starting at 2.2M, experienced a slight decrease to 2M by the close of Q4.

The Wizz App - chat now showed an impressive revenue increase, nearly doubling to $719K in the final week of December from $382K at the quarter's start. Downloads saw peaks and troughs, ending on a high note with over 73K. Active users grew steadily, from 1.28M to over 1.54M.

Finally, OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative had more modest figures. Revenue saw a general increase, peaking at $58K in early December before falling to around $24K. Downloads experienced a spike in November but ended the quarter at roughly 35K. Active users peaked at 228K in late November and then declined to 173K.
