As the year 2023 came to a close, book lovers in Brazil continued to engage with their favorite reading apps on iOS devices. Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into the performance of the top 5 book applications during the fourth quarter.

Amazon Kindle, despite generating no revenue, saw a steady flow of downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 16K downloads and peaking at nearly 24K by the year's end. The app's weekly active users also showed a positive trend, beginning with 221K and reaching 244K in the final week of December.

Wattpad - Read & Write Stories experienced a fluctuating revenue pattern, with notable spikes reaching up to $3.7K in mid-November, before settling down to around $1.4K towards the quarter's end. Downloads for Wattpad remained above 10K each week, and weekly active users hovered around 340K, with slight dips and recoveries throughout the quarter.

For Lera: Best eBooks & Webnovels, revenue remained relatively stable, moving between $30K and $38K for most weeks, with a drop to around $29.5K in late November. Downloads saw some volatility, dipping to as low as 6.9K before climbing to over 16K. Active users showed an upward trend, starting at around 33K and growing to over 43K by the year's end.

The local app Bíblia Sagrada Mobidic also had a fluctuating revenue stream, ranging from $73 to $276 throughout the quarter. The app's downloads had a high point of over 8K in early October, while weekly active users saw a consistent range between 33K and 37K.

Lastly, A Bíblia Sagrada showed a modest revenue ranging from $16 to $34. Downloads peaked at over 9K in early October but fell to below 1K by the year's end. The app's active users started at close to 20K and saw a decrease, ending the quarter at around 13K.
