Q4 2023 Performance Report: Top Auto Apps on iOS in Europe

As Q4 of 2023 drew to a close, Sensor Tower has compiled data on the performance of the top five automotive applications on the iOS platform in Europe. Our comprehensive analysis offers valuable insights into user trends and app popularity within the auto category.

AutoScout24: Buy & sell cars experienced a fluctuating quarter, with downloads peaking at nearly 60K in early October before gradually decreasing to around 40K by the end of December. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trend, starting the quarter with over 319K users and finishing with roughly 315K. Revenue saw a mid-quarter spike, reaching over $6K in late October, but generally hovered around the $4K mark.

mobile.de - car market maintained a steady performance in terms of downloads, starting at 39K and peaking at 43K in early October, with a slight dip to around 31K by the year's end. Active user counts began at approximately 327K and saw a slight increase before ending the quarter with about 311K users.

MyToyota showed an intriguing download pattern, with a significant surge to 134K in early November from a modest 4K at the quarter's start. The weekly active user base grew substantially from 16K in mid-October to a high of nearly 119K in early November, before settling at around 74K by the quarter's end.

Tesla saw consistent growth in weekly active users, starting from 359K and reaching over 405K by mid-December. Downloads for the app showed a gradual increase throughout the quarter, beginning at 25K and rising to nearly 27K by Christmas.

Shell experienced a decrease in downloads from 28K at the start of the quarter to 21K at the end, while weekly active users showed marginal fluctuations, peaking at 211K in mid-October and ending the quarter with 209K.
