The fourth quarter of 2023 saw interesting trends among the top shopping apps on the Android platform in the Netherlands. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these top 5 apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire experienced significant growth in weekly downloads, particularly in November. Starting from around 24K downloads in early October, the app saw a peak of approximately 51K downloads in the week of December 4, 2023. Active users also increased steadily, from around 303K in late September to a peak of nearly 394K in early December.

PLUS Kadokorting had a notable surge in downloads in early November, reaching a high of about 198K. However, this number declined sharply in subsequent weeks, dropping to around 1.2K by the end of December.

SHEIN-Shopping Online saw a decrease in both downloads and active users over the quarter. Weekly downloads fell from around 16K in late September to approximately 6.7K by the end of December. Active users also declined from over 511K in late September to around 375K by the end of the quarter.

Albert Heijn supermarkt maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter, with a slight dip towards the end. Downloads started at around 11K in late September and decreased to about 5.9K by the end of December. Active users showed a minor fluctuation, starting at approximately 549K and ending at around 543K.

Lidl Plus displayed consistent performance in downloads and active users. Starting with about 8.6K downloads in late September, the app saw a peak of around 10.1K in late November before settling at around 5.8K by the end of December. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained robust, with numbers ranging from around 388K to 418K throughout the quarter.
