Q4 2023 Performance of Top Android Shopping Apps in the UK

In the final quarter of 2023, the Android shopping app landscape in the United Kingdom saw varied performance among the top contenders. Here's a snapshot of how these apps fared, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire experienced a significant uptick in downloads, jumping from 180K in late September to a peak of 487K in mid-December, before settling at 272K by year-end. Weekly active users followed a similar trajectory, growing from 1.4M to a high of 2.1M in December, and then slightly decreasing to 1.9M.

SHEIN-Shopping Online saw its downloads fluctuate, with a high of 100K in late November, a dip to 54K in mid-December, and a recovery to 52K at the close of the quarter. The app's active users peaked at 1.1M in late October and experienced a gradual decline to 902K by the end of December.

Tesco Grocery & Clubcard downloads showcased growth, from 45K to a peak of 143K in early December, concluding the quarter at 41K. Weekly active users saw a steady increase from 1.2M to 1.3M in early December, before a slight drop to 1M at the quarter's end.

Vinted - Buy and sell clothes downloads remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, starting at 59K and dipping to 20K in mid-December, followed by a slight increase to 32K. Active users were consistent, with a minor peak at 761K in mid-October, then tapering off to 728K by the year's close.

Nectar – Collect & Spend points showed a progressive increase in downloads, beginning at 31K and surging to 80K in mid-December, then falling to 31K. The app's active users saw a peak of 475K in mid-November, with a slight decrease to 418K by the end of December.
