In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top five finance applications on the Android platform in Costa Rica showed diverse performance trends. These insights, provided by Sensor Tower, highlight the weekly downloads and active user metrics for these apps.

BN Móvil from Banco Nacional de Costa Rica saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at around 12.3K in late September and peaking at approximately 16.4K in late October. The app’s weekly active users also exhibited some variation, reaching a high of about 619K in the week of October 23, before ending the quarter at roughly 560K.

BN Token Celular, also from Banco Nacional de Costa Rica, experienced significant spikes in downloads, notably around late October and early November, when downloads surged to around 32.9K. Active users for this app increased substantially in the same period, peaking at approximately 57K in early November before stabilizing to around 23K by the end of December.

BCR Clave Virtual from Banco de Costa Rica maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with weekly downloads hovering around 7K to 8.4K. Active user numbers for this app showed consistent growth, reaching a high of about 78.7K in mid-December.

BCR Móvil, another offering from Banco de Costa Rica, demonstrated a stable download trend with occasional peaks, such as 9.2K downloads in early December. The app’s active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 73K and 79K throughout the quarter.

Finally, Banca Móvil BAC from BAC Credomatic Network showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, hitting a peak of around 8.5K in mid-November. Active user metrics for this app were robust, maintaining a range between 230K and 244K, with the highest number observed in mid-November.
