In the fourth quarter of 2023, the U.S. Android apparel app sector displayed a mix of trends according to data from Sensor Tower. Let's delve into the performance of the top five apparel applications.
SHEIN-Shopping Online experienced a fluctuating download trend, starting the quarter with approximately 416K downloads and peaking at 456K in mid-October. However, the numbers declined towards the end of December, closing at around 169K. Weekly active users also saw a decrease from about 3M in late September to 2.5M by the year's end.
Nike: Shoes, Apparel & Stories showed a more stable pattern in downloads, with numbers ranging from about 56K to 93K during the quarter. The app witnessed a significant spike in weekly active users in November, reaching over 1.1M, before stabilizing around 600K in late December.
The DICK'S Sporting Goods app saw a remarkable surge in downloads during November, with a notable peak at 73K. This momentum, however, slowed down to 13K by Christmas week. Active users peaked at nearly 149K in the same month but declined to around 95K by the end of the quarter.
LightInTheBox Online Shopping had a relatively modest quarter, with downloads starting at approximately 26K and descending to 6K in December. Weekly active users also followed a downward trajectory, dropping from around 77K to 49K during the same period.
Lastly, GOAT – Sneakers & Apparel downloads varied from 19K to 29K, with a noticeable dip to around 13K at the end of December. Active users experienced an increase in November, reaching nearly 346K, and then slightly decreased to 273K by the close of the quarter.
