During the fourth quarter of 2023, the top 5 apparel apps on the Android platform in Africa showcased varied performance trends in weekly downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides an insightful look at how these apps fared.

SHEIN-Shopping Online saw a significant decline in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 496K in late September and dropping to around 106K by the end of December. Despite this drop, weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 1.3M and 1.6M throughout the quarter.

DeFacto - Clothing & Shopping experienced a peak in weekly downloads in mid-October with about 97K downloads but saw a decline to just over 6.5K by the end of December. Active users, however, showed a more stable trend, peaking at around 372K in mid-November before settling at approximately 229K by the end of the year.

The app adidas: Shop Shoes & Clothing had a notable increase in downloads in mid-November, reaching about 56K. Active users also reflected this trend, peaking at around 120K during the same period. However, both metrics saw a decline towards the end of December, with downloads dropping to about 15K and active users to around 84K.

MyRunway SA Fashion Shopping exhibited a stable trend in weekly downloads and active users throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at approximately 22K in mid-November, while active users reached around 72K during the same period. By the end of December, downloads and active users had decreased to about 3.7K and 50K respectively.

Finally, Zara maintained a consistent performance in weekly downloads and active users. Downloads fluctuated between 9.4K and 17.7K, peaking in mid-November. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 92K to 113K throughout the quarter.
