In the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 shopping applications on a unified platform in Qatar showcased varied performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user trends, based on data from Sensor Tower.

SHEIN - Shopping Online saw weekly downloads fluctuating between 5.0K and 6.5K. The app’s highest downloads were 6.5K in the week of July 3, while the lowest was 5.0K in the week of August 28. Active users generally increased throughout the quarter, starting at 119.7K and peaking at 130.1K in mid-September, before slightly declining to 127.8K by the end of the quarter.

Chicpoint - Fashion shopping showed growth in weekly downloads, starting at 3.8K and reaching up to 5.3K in July. However, by the end of September, downloads had decreased to 3.9K. Active users steadily increased from 9.4K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 12.3K in early September, before settling at 11.2K by the end of the quarter.

Alibaba.com experienced relatively stable weekly downloads, ranging from 3.8K to 4.8K. The highest downloads were 4.8K in the week of July 3, whereas the lowest was 3.8K in late August. Active users remained consistent, fluctuating around the 92K mark, with a slight increase to 94.2K in mid-September before ending the quarter at 92.8K.

AliExpress Shopping App had a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 5.2K in the week of August 21. Downloads then tapered off to 3.7K by the end of September. Active users rose from 42.7K at the start to a peak of 52.1K in mid-September, maintaining around 51.8K towards the quarter’s end.
