In Q3 2023, the top five shopping apps in Nigeria demonstrated a range of performance trends in downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data. Here’s an overview of how these apps fared over the quarter.

JUMIA Online Shopping had a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 32.6K at the end of June and reaching around 50.2K by the end of September. The app maintained an active user base, fluctuating between 495K and 579K throughout the quarter.

Jiji Nigeria: Buy&Sell Online experienced a decrease in weekly downloads, with numbers dropping from about 37K in late June to approximately 22.6K by the end of September. Weekly active users also declined slightly from 411K to 375K over the same period.

CDcare saw a peak in downloads in mid-July, reaching around 40.1K, but then experienced a decline to about 7.3K by the end of September. Active users for CDcare followed a similar trend, peaking at 73.4K in mid-July and decreasing to around 51.4K by the end of the quarter.

AliExpress - Shopping App showed a consistent yet modest performance in downloads, with numbers ranging from 17.5K in late June to 9.4K by the end of September. Active users for AliExpress increased from 161K to 198K, showing a steady growth throughout the quarter.

Hawkit - Earn Cool Cash Daily had a fluctuating download rate, starting at 23.5K in late June and ending at 8.4K by the end of September. However, the app maintained a relatively stable number of active users, ranging from 81K to 95K throughout the quarter.
