In the third quarter of 2023, the top five news applications in Guatemala demonstrated varied performance metrics on a unified platform, combining both iOS and Android data. Here’s a closer look at their trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

X from X Corp. saw a moderate fluctuation in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $994 in the final week of June and dipping to around $262 in early September. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, starting strong at 12.4K and ending at 6.9K by late September. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 594K by the end of the quarter.

Reddit exhibited a consistent yet low revenue stream, with weekly earnings peaking at $23 in mid-July. Weekly downloads varied, starting at 2.6K and peaking at 5.5K in mid-July, before settling around 2K by the end of September. Active users showed a general upward trend, reaching approximately 50.2K by late September.

PelisPlus Max did not generate any revenue during the quarter. Weekly downloads declined from 349 in late June to just 77 by mid-September. Active users, however, remained steady, peaking at 3.3K in early September before a slight drop to 3.1K by the end of the month.

Programación TV Guatemala (GT) also reported no revenue. Weekly downloads were minimal, starting at 176 and falling to 42 by the end of September.

RadioApp - A Simple Radio from Firetruck Productions Ltd. had a modest revenue performance, peaking at $89 at the end of July. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 73 to 125 throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight increase, ending the quarter at around 288.
