During the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 navigation apps in Kenya displayed varying trends in downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 2.2K in late June and peaking at around 3.1K by mid-September. Active users also showed positive momentum, starting at 92.9K and reaching a peak of about 96.6K in early September before slightly declining to approximately 90.3K by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a fluctuating download trend, beginning at 1.1K in late June and ending at 1.1K by late September, with a peak of about 1.4K in mid-August. Active users showed a gradual upward trend, starting at 4.9K and reaching approximately 5.1K by the end of the quarter.

Famio: Find My Family, Friends had a notable increase in weekly revenue, starting at $48 in late June and peaking at $118 in early September. Downloads showed considerable growth, beginning at 155 and reaching a peak of 640 in early August. Active users also increased, starting at 620 and peaking at approximately 902 in early August before ending the quarter at around 582.
