In Q3 2023, the top five auto applications in the United States exhibited diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

CARFAX - Shop New & Used Cars saw consistent revenue throughout the quarter, peaking at around $115K in the week of July 3. Downloads were highest in the week of July 31, reaching approximately 46K, while weekly active users peaked at around 121K in mid-August.

Aceable – Driving School App experienced a decline in revenue over the quarter, starting at around $72K in late June and ending at approximately $56K in late September. Downloads also trended downward, peaking at about 7.7K in early July and dropping to around 5.3K by the end of September. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from approximately 39K to 36K.

Zutobi: DMV Practice Test maintained relatively stable revenue, hovering around $50K throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a significant drop from about 29K in late July to around 18K by the end of September. Weekly active users also declined, from approximately 38K in late June to around 29K by the end of September.
