In the third quarter of 2023, the top five travel apps on iOS in the United Kingdom showcased varied performance trends. Here’s a detailed look at their weekly downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride saw a general upward trend in downloads, starting from approximately 60K in late June and peaking at around 77.6K in mid-September. Active users also increased steadily, from about 1M to 1.1M towards the end of the quarter.

Trainline: Buy train tickets had relatively consistent download numbers, ranging between 39.6K and 58.8K throughout the quarter. The active user base fluctuated slightly but remained strong, peaking at 1.7M in mid-August before settling at around 1.6M by the end of September.

RingGo: Mobile Car Parking App experienced a stable number of downloads, with figures ranging from 38.2K to 50.2K. Active users showed a gradual increase from 170K to 186K by late August, followed by a slight decrease to 169K at the end of the quarter.

PayByPhone Parking maintained a consistent download rate, varying between 34.9K and 46.9K. Active users also saw consistent growth, from approximately 224K at the start of the quarter to 232K by the end of September.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had steady download numbers, ranging from 37.5K to 42.7K. However, active users showed a declining trend, starting at around 1.4M in late June and dropping to 1.2M by the end of September.
