Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps in France: Q3 2023 Performance

During the third quarter of 2023, the top five iOS navigation apps in France demonstrated diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is an overview of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 133K in mid-July. Although downloads fluctuated, they saw a low of around 68K in early September before rising again to nearly 78K by the end of the month. The app also boasted an impressive number of weekly active users, starting at 8.2M in late June and slightly declining to around 7.9M by the end of September.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a downward trend in weekly downloads, starting from about 52K in late June and dropping to around 38K by the end of September. Despite this, Waze maintained a solid user base, with weekly active users peaking at 4.5M in early August before settling at approximately 3.9M at the end of the quarter.

Île-de-France Mobilités saw a significant surge in weekly downloads, especially in late August and early September, reaching nearly 30K. Active users followed a similar upward trend, peaking at around 161K in late August and maintaining a steady count of approximately 154K by the end of September.

Moovit: All Transit Options showed a consistent increase in weekly revenue, starting from $274 in late June and peaking at around $1K in mid-September. Downloads fluctuated, with highs of about 23K in early September, while weekly active users grew steadily, reaching nearly 195K by the end of the quarter.

Bonjour RATP maintained a stable download rate, peaking at around 20K in early September. The app's weekly active users also rose, starting at 186K in late June and ending at approximately 187K by the end of September.
