Top 5 Finance Apps on iOS in Oceania Q3 2023

In the third quarter of 2023, the top five finance applications on iOS in Oceania displayed diverse trends in their weekly downloads and active user metrics. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.

Australian Taxation Office experienced a significant spike in weekly downloads at the beginning of July, peaking at nearly 58K. However, this number gradually decreased, stabilizing around 9K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users followed a somewhat similar pattern, starting from approximately 71K and reaching around 64K by the end of the quarter.

CommBank maintained a relatively steady number of weekly downloads, with a noticeable peak in the last week of September at about 21K. Its weekly active users remained robust throughout the quarter, ranging between 2M and 2.1M, showing a slight increase towards the end of September.

PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage saw consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 14K and 20K, with a notable peak in the first week of July. The app's weekly active users hovered around 90K, showing minor fluctuations but generally maintaining stability throughout the quarter.

ANZ Plus showed a dramatic rise in weekly downloads in early July, reaching over 51K. This number, however, dropped significantly and stabilized around 9K towards the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users also saw a peak in early July at about 165K, later stabilizing around 130K by the end of September.

Wise (ex TransferWise) maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, averaging around 13K to 16K weekly downloads. The app's weekly active users showed a steady increase, starting from 31K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching approximately 34K by the end of September.
