Throughout Q3 2023, the top five education apps on the iOS platform in the United States demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at their performance:

Duolingo - Language Lessons experienced a stable performance with its weekly revenue hovering around $2.3M to $2.5M, peaking at approximately $2.5M in the last week of September. Its weekly downloads saw a slight fluctuation, maintaining around 200K to 220K, while weekly active users remained relatively steady, fluctuating between 4.9M to 5.2M throughout the quarter.

PictureThis - Plant Identifier showed a downward trend in both revenue and downloads. Weekly revenue decreased from about $1.4M at the start of the quarter to around $671K by the end. Downloads also dropped significantly from 147K to approximately 43K. Active users followed a similar pattern, declining from 1.08M to around 794K.

ClassDojo saw a remarkable increase in both revenue and downloads, particularly in mid-August. Weekly revenue surged from about $128K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of $1.8M in the third week of August, before stabilizing around $819K by the end of September. Headway: Daily Book Summaries displayed a steady decline in performance metrics. Weekly revenue dropped from approximately $731K in late July to $326K by the end of September. Downloads also declined from 140K to around 40K over the quarter. Active users decreased gradually from 452K to about 269K.
