In the third quarter of 2023, the leading shopping apps on the Android platform in South America demonstrated diverse trends in downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.
SHEIN-Shopping Online saw weekly downloads fluctuate throughout the quarter. Starting at around 1.1M in the last week of June, downloads dipped to about 880K in early July but picked up again to peak at approximately 1.2M in late August. Weekly active users for SHEIN ranged between 18.2M and 19.9M, with a slight decline observed towards the end of the quarter, finishing at around 18.3M.
Shopee: 9.9 Super Shopping Day experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at about 570K in late June and peaking at around 814K in early September. Weekly active users also showed growth, rising from 19M in late June to nearly 21.3M by the end of September.

AliExpress - Shopping App displayed a varied download trend, with numbers ranging from 287K to 381K. Active users saw a slight decline over the quarter, starting at about 13.6M in late June and ending at approximately 13.3M by the end of September.
