The third quarter of 2023 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 shopping apps on the Android platform in Nigeria. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the weekly downloads and active user metrics for these apps, providing insights into their market dynamics.

JUMIA Online Shopping had a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 27.4K at the end of June and peaking at around 45.2K by the end of September. The app's active users fluctuated, beginning at roughly 510K and ending the quarter at about 485K.

Jiji Nigeria: Buy&Sell Online experienced a decline in weekly downloads over the quarter. Downloads started at about 33K in late June and decreased to approximately 18.9K by the end of September. Active users showed a slight downward trend, beginning at around 363K and closing the quarter at roughly 327K.
