In the third quarter of 2023, the top insurance apps on the Android platform in Africa showcased varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.

Clientèle saw a steady rise in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter at around 4K and peaking at approximately 5.9K in mid-September. Weekly active users also increased from about 78.5K at the start of the quarter to nearly 89K by the end of September.

Discovery experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at around 4.6K, peaking at 5.8K in early July, and ending the quarter at roughly 3K. Active users demonstrated a slight decline, beginning at approximately 52.6K and decreasing to about 47.7K by the end of the quarter.

Switch by Santam had a notable spike in weekly downloads, particularly in early September where it reached 8.3K. The app had modest download numbers earlier in the quarter, with a significant increase starting in August.

Sanlam Nigeria maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads started at around 1.4K and saw a gradual increase, peaking at approximately 2.3K in early September.

OUTsurance displayed stability in weekly downloads, averaging around 2K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users remained relatively consistent, fluctuating between 5.9K and 6.6K.
