Top 5 Finance Apps on Android in Sweden: Q3 2023 Performance

In the third quarter of 2023, the top finance applications on the Android platform in Sweden displayed diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

BankID security app saw a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with a notable spike to approximately 8.6K in the week of September 11. Its weekly active users increased steadily from around 2.3M in early July to over 2.6M by the end of September.

Google Wallet experienced a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 3.8K in late June and reaching about 4.1K by the end of September. Active users showed a slight upward trend, beginning at 42.6K and peaking at approximately 42.9K in the final week of the quarter.

Swish payments maintained a steady download rate, with a peak of 4K in the last week of September. The app’s weekly active users also rose, starting at around 812K and ending the quarter at over 821K.

Swedbank private had relatively stable download numbers, with a slight increase to 3.3K in the week of September 25. Active users increased from about 357K in late June to approximately 364K by the end of September.

PayPal - Pay, Send, Save experienced a decline in downloads early in the quarter, reaching a low of 2K in early September, but recovered to 2.4K by the end of the month. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained around 159K towards the end of September.
