In the second quarter of 2023, the top travel applications in Ghana showcased varied performance metrics across downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared:

Bolt: Request a Ride maintained a consistent level of weekly downloads, starting with 19.1K in late March and peaking at 21.9K in early April. However, there was a gradual decline, ending the quarter at approximately 13.2K. The app also saw fluctuations in active users, starting at 732K and dipping to around 678K by the end of June.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 26.8K in late April before settling around 16.1K towards the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, reaching a high of 144K in mid-April and ending the quarter with approximately 124K.

Uber - Request a ride saw relatively stable weekly downloads, ranging from 4.0K to 5.7K. The app's active users hovered around the 270K mark, peaking at 290K in late April and again in late May.

Shaxi exhibited lower download numbers, starting at 959 in late March and experiencing some peaks and troughs, ending the quarter at 326. Active user data for Shaxi was not available.

Yango Lite: light taxi app showed a decline in weekly downloads from 7.3K in early April to 987 by the end of June. The active user count also decreased from 42.4K at the beginning of the quarter to around 29.6K by the end.
