The performance of the top 5 travel applications in the United Arab Emirates during the second quarter of 2023 shows intriguing trends in downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower reveals the following insights:

Careem – rides, food & more experienced consistent growth in weekly downloads, peaking at 19.2K in mid-June. Active users also showed a positive trend, reaching around 94.2K in the week of April 17 before stabilizing around the 88K-93K mark for the rest of the quarter.

Mastercard Travel Pass had fluctuating download numbers, hitting a high of 23.7K in the week of June 19. Active users saw a significant rise, starting at 35.9K at the beginning of the quarter and peaking at about 73.3K in mid-June.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel showed a steady increase in downloads, culminating at 13.7K in the last week of June. The app maintained a strong active user base, growing from 217K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 257.7K by the end of June.

Uber - Request a ride saw a gradual rise in weekly downloads, reaching 12.1K in the final week of June. Active users remained robust, increasing from 247.9K in late March to about 268K by the end of the quarter.
