In the second quarter of 2023, the top five shopping apps in El Salvador exhibited varying trends in weekly downloads and active users, providing a snapshot of their performance on a unified platform. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, highlights the popularity and engagement of these apps in the region.

SHEIN - Shopping Online saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 10K at the end of March and peaking at approximately 12.8K by the end of June. Weekly active users for SHEIN also showed an upward trend, growing from 181K to over 210K during the same period.

Alibaba.com experienced a significant rise in weekly downloads, moving from 6.6K in late March to about 12.5K by the end of June. Active users for Alibaba.com also increased steadily, from 132K to around 156K throughout Q2 2023.

AliExpress Shopping App had a more fluctuating download pattern. It started with 2.8K downloads at the end of March, saw various peaks and troughs, and ended the quarter at nearly 3K. Active users for AliExpress hovered around the mid-50K range, with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately 53K.

Amazon Shopping maintained a consistent download rate, beginning at 2.5K and reaching around 3.6K by the end of June. Weekly active users demonstrated a steady increase from 113K to about 121K over the quarter.

Lastly, Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire showed notable growth in downloads, starting from under 1K in late March and surging to over 7.7K by the end of June. Active users for Temu also saw a remarkable rise, increasing from 4.9K to nearly 17K within the same timeframe.
