During the second quarter of 2023, the top five news applications in Oceania demonstrated diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at each app's performance.
X from X Corp. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $14.5K in early May and ending the quarter at around $10.2K. Downloads saw a spike in early May, reaching nearly 32K, while active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 2.5M throughout the quarter.
Reddit showed a significant revenue jump in mid-April, hitting about $60K but generally maintained revenues between $2K and $3K for the rest of the quarter. Downloads peaked in late June at around 34K, and active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at approximately 1.4M.
ABC News had consistent download numbers, with weekly figures ranging from 5K to 6.8K. Active users showed minor fluctuations, peaking at about 201K in mid-April but generally staying around 190K.
