In the second quarter of 2023, the top navigation apps in Latin America demonstrated diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the metrics for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at around 304K and peaking at nearly 397K in mid-June. Active users maintained a relatively stable trend, hovering around 16.5M to 17M throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent download rate, with figures ranging between 368K and 454K. The app’s active user base remained strong, with a slight increase from 10.8M to 11.4M over the period.

Moovit: All Transit Options achieved steady growth in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $2.7K and reaching nearly $5.8K by the end of June. Downloads varied between 248K and 275K, while active users showed a minor decline, ending the quarter at around 5.8M.

Bike Itaú maintained a stable download rate, with weekly figures between 16K and 26K. Active users demonstrated a slight decrease, ranging from 66K to 75K during the quarter.

Cittamobi: Transporte Coletivo showed a gradual increase in weekly revenue, starting at $333 and peaking at $554. Downloads varied, reaching up to 48K, while active users saw minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately 707K.
