Top 5 Finance Apps in Angola Q2 2023: Unified Platform Insights

In Q2 2023, the top five finance apps in Angola showcased varied performance trends across downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

MULTICAIXA Express, developed by EMIS SA, maintained a stable download rate throughout the quarter, peaking at 13.2K downloads in the week of May 22. The app saw a consistent increase in weekly active users, starting at 90.9K and reaching 96.2K by the end of June.

BAI Directo from Banco BAI experienced fluctuations in downloads, with a notable dip to 5.5K in mid-April but recovering to 8.3K by the last week of June. Active users showed a steady increase, growing from 47K to 50.6K over the same period.

UNITEL Money, published by Unitel SA, had a mixed download performance. Downloads saw a significant spike to 7.6K in the week of May 22 but dropped to around 4.2K towards the end of June.

PayPay AO, by Hongkong Smarterr Technology Co., Limited, exhibited a sharp rise in downloads in early April, reaching 7.3K but experienced a decline to 2K by the end of June. Active users also fluctuated, peaking at 14.8K in early April and decreasing to 11K by late June.

Lastly, PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage, from PayPal Mobile, saw an increasing trend in downloads, peaking at 4K in mid-April. Active users increased steadily throughout the quarter, starting at 27.8K and reaching 34.9K by early June.
