The second quarter of 2023 witnessed interesting trends in the performance of the top 5 utilities applications on the iOS platform in Africa. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads, active users, and revenue for these leading apps.

Google had a consistent performance in terms of weekly downloads, starting at 50.3K in late March and peaking at 56.1K by mid-June. Active users remained relatively steady, ranging from approximately 1.18M to 1.19M throughout the quarter.

Google Chrome also performed consistently, with weekly downloads hovering around the 52K to 54K mark. Active users showed a slight fluctuation but remained strong, maintaining over 1.36M on average.

Getcontact experienced significant growth in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads surged from 3.2K in late March to a peak of 76.1K in late May.
