In the second quarter of 2023, the top 5 travel applications on the iOS platform in the United Arab Emirates exhibited diverse performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the weekly downloads and active user metrics for these apps.

Careem – rides, food & more saw a steady rise in weekly downloads, starting from 4.9K at the end of March and climbing to 8.1K by the end of June. Weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at around 48.1K in late May before settling at approximately 43.8K at the quarter's end.

Mastercard Travel Pass experienced significant growth in weekly downloads, particularly in June, where downloads surged to 13.3K. Active users also saw a notable increase, reaching around 47.1K by the end of June from 23.7K at the beginning of the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel maintained a consistent upward trend in downloads, with a notable spike to 8.9K in the final week of June. The app's active user base grew steadily, reaching approximately 140.7K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride also showed positive trends. Weekly downloads increased from 3.4K at the end of March to 7.3K by late June. The app's active users remained robust, peaking at around 143.6K in the last week of June.

Lastly, MakeMyTrip Flight, Hotel, Bus had a more stable download rate, ranging between 3.3K and 5.4K throughout the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight dip mid-quarter but ending at approximately 5.9K.
