Top 5 Insurance Apps on iOS in the US: Q2 2023 Performance

In the second quarter of 2023, the top five insurance applications on the iOS platform in the United States showed diverse performance metrics. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active users for these leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Progressive saw notable weekly downloads, starting strong with approximately 104.6K in the last week of March. However, downloads experienced a downward trend, reaching around 83.1K by the end of June. Active users remained fairly stable, fluctuating slightly from 1.05M to 1.03M throughout the quarter.

State Farm® maintained a consistent download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from about 61.8K in late April to 60.5K by the end of June. Active users also remained steady, starting at approximately 376.7K in late March and ending at 384.7K in the last week of June.

For GEICO Mobile - Car Insurance, weekly downloads showed an upward trend, beginning at 43.9K in late March and peaking at around 48.6K by mid-June. Active users hovered around 630K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

Drive Safe & Save™ experienced moderate weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 35.4K at the end of March to 29.5K by late June. The app’s active user base was relatively stable, starting at 1.59M in late March and ending at approximately 1.63M by the end of June.

Lastly, UnitedHealthcare had a varied download trend, with weekly downloads peaking at around 36.4K in early April and declining to about 27.5K by the end of June. Active users saw a slight decline, starting at 98.2K in late March and ending at 89.3K in the final week of June.
