In Q2 2023, the top 5 insurance apps on iOS in Oceania demonstrated diverse trends in weekly downloads and active user engagement. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

My Medibank saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 4.0K at the beginning of April and reaching approximately 5.8K by the end of June. Weekly active users also exhibited consistent growth, rising from 9.8K to 12.2K during the same period.

My NRMA experienced fluctuations in downloads, peaking at 4.3K in early May but dropping to about 2.5K by the end of June. Active users showed a slight decline from 7.0K to 6.4K over the quarter.

The AAMI App maintained a stable download rate, with weekly figures around 3.2K to 3.5K. Active users steadily increased from 47.9K to 53.1K throughout the quarter, indicating strong user retention.

nib Health downloads varied, starting at 2.9K in late March and hovering around 2.6K to 2.9K towards the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, increasing slightly from 20.4K to 21.4K.

Lastly, NRMA Insurance showed a notable increase in downloads, especially in June, where they peaked at 3.3K. Active users also saw an upward trend, climbing from 6.3K to 7.8K over the quarter.
