Top 5 Education Apps on Android in Madagascar: Q2 2023 Performance

In the second quarter of 2023, the education app market on the Android platform in Madagascar saw some interesting trends. Here’s a closer look at the top 5 education apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Duolingo: Language Lessons maintained a consistent performance throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue hovered around $140 to $160, peaking at $161 in mid-April. Downloads fluctuated but saw a notable increase in early May, reaching approximately 2.9K. Active users, however, showed a slight decline from 19.6K at the end of March to around 14.6K by the end of June.

Lingutown - Learn Languages had no reported revenue during this period. Downloads peaked at 1.6K in early May but saw a significant drop towards the end of June, falling to just 355. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 2.2K in early May and declining to about 1.4K by the end of the quarter.

Brevet Bac Sup Primaire 2025 also did not report any revenue. Downloads saw a moderate increase in early May, reaching 545, before stabilizing around 300 to 400 towards the end of June. Active users peaked at 1.9K in mid-May and remained relatively steady, ending the quarter at 1.5K.

French - English showed no revenue during this period. Downloads were relatively stable, fluctuating between 200 and 500, with a peak of 565 in mid-April. Unfortunately, active user data for this app was not available.

Finally, the Superbook Kids Bible App reported no revenue. Downloads peaked at 487 in the first week of April but drastically dropped to single digits by mid-June. Active users followed a declining trend from 817 in early April to 356 by the end of June.
