Top 5 Education Apps on Android in Hungary: Q2 2023

In the second quarter of 2023, the top 5 education apps on the Android platform in Hungary displayed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Below, we provide an overview of these metrics for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Duolingo: Language Lessons saw steady weekly revenue, peaking at around $12.5K in the first week of May. Weekly downloads fluctuated, initially decreasing from 5.4K at the end of March to 4.2K by mid-May, before rebounding to 5.5K by the end of June. Active users initially declined from approximately 57.7K to 53.2K by the end of May, then rose significantly to 63.8K by the end of June.

PlantNet Plant Identification did not generate revenue but experienced a notable increase in downloads, peaking at 3.6K in early May. Active users followed a similar positive trend, growing from 5.8K at the end of March to 8.5K in early May, and then maintaining a steady range around 7.7K to 8.1K through June.

Blossom - Plant Identifier showed modest revenue fluctuations, with a high of $146 at the end of May. Downloads increased from 1.5K at the end of March to nearly 3K by the end of June. Active users saw a consistent rise, from 3.1K at the end of March to 5.9K by the end of June.

KRÉTA Tanulóknak had significant user engagement, with active users peaking at 250.2K at the end of April. Downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 2.4K to 2.9K through most of the quarter but dropped sharply to 346 by the end of June. Active users also saw a significant decline to 67.5K by the end of June.

Finally, EWA: Learn English & Spanish experienced a surge in revenue, reaching a high of $4.5K in early June. Downloads increased substantially, peaking at 4.1K at the end of May. Active users grew from 2K at the end of March to over 6.1K by early June before stabilizing around 5K towards the end of the quarter.
