Top 5 Utilities Apps Performance in France for Q1 2023

During the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 utilities applications in France showed interesting trends in downloads and active user metrics. Here’s a detailed look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at around 69K downloads in late December and peaking at approximately 94K in early January. The downloads saw a decline mid-quarter but ended strong with about 80K in the last week of March. Weekly active users remained steady, hovering around 17.4M throughout the quarter.

L’Identité Numérique La Poste saw significant activity in terms of downloads, which peaked at around 151K in mid-January. The downloads then trended downward, ending the quarter with roughly 97K in the last week of March. Active users also followed an upward trend initially, reaching approximately 360K in mid-January, and then fluctuating to end the quarter at about 310K.

Google Chrome had a relatively stable download trend, starting at around 50K downloads in late December and maintaining a range between 34K and 46K throughout the quarter. The active users metric was quite stable as well, consistently around 24M, with a slight increase towards the end of March.
