Top 5 Utilities Apps in Germany Q1 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, several utilities apps in Germany have shown notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five utilities applications on a unified platform, based on Sensor Tower data.

AusweisApp Bund saw a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 45K in late December and peaking at approximately 317K in mid-March. Concurrently, weekly active users also surged, beginning at 223K and reaching as high as 638K by mid-March.

Google maintained a consistent performance with weekly downloads varying between 71K to 105K. Active users remained stable, increasing slightly from 20.6M at the start of the quarter to around 20.9M by the end of March.

Google Chrome experienced steady download numbers, fluctuating between 37K and 44K weekly. Active users remained robust, starting at 30.6M and ending the quarter at 30.8M.

Sticker Maker Studio had stable weekly downloads, ranging from 17K to 21K. Active users hovered around 140K throughout the quarter, showing minor fluctuations.

MeinMagenta: Handy & Festnetz observed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 32K and peaking at about 50K in mid-March. Active users showed significant variation, starting at 307K and reaching a high of 391K by the end of February, before stabilizing at around 369K in late March.
