Top 5 Shopping Apps in Mexico Q1 2023 Performance

During the first quarter of 2023, Mexico's top 5 shopping apps showcased varied trends in downloads and active user engagement, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the performance of SHEIN - Shopping Online, Mercado Libre: Compras Online, AliExpress Shopping App, Shopee MX: Compra En Línea, and Amazon Shopping.

SHEIN - Shopping Online saw a substantial number of weekly downloads, peaking at around 501K in the week of February 20. The app also maintained a strong presence with weekly active users ranging from approximately 4.2M to 5M throughout the quarter.

Mercado Libre: Compras Online experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting at 452K in the first week of January and gradually declining to 255K by the end of March. Its weekly active users also showed a downward trend, starting at 10.1M and ending the quarter at about 8.9M.

AliExpress Shopping App had a significant increase in weekly downloads, hitting a high of 297K in the week of March 20. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, peaking at 4.4M before slightly dropping to 3.9M by the end of the quarter.

Shopee MX: Compra En Línea maintained consistent weekly downloads, ranging around 126K to 194K. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering between 2.4M and 2.6M throughout Q1.

Lastly, Amazon Shopping saw weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at 199K in early January and ending at 128K in the last week of March. Its weekly active users exhibited a gradual decline from 3M to approximately 2.5M over the quarter.
