In the first quarter of 2023, the top navigation apps in Colombia demonstrated diverse performance metrics across downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a steady download rate, starting with 16.9K in the last week of December and peaking at 24.8K in the first week of January. Downloads fluctuated slightly but remained strong, ending the quarter with around 20K weekly downloads. The app also saw a consistent number of weekly active users, hovering around 1.3M throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting from 88.4K in late December and dropping to approximately 56K by the end of March. Despite this, the app maintained a solid user base, with weekly active users ranging from around 954K to 796K over the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, beginning with 13K in late December and reaching a high of nearly 30K by the end of January. The number of active users also rose steadily, starting from 215K and peaking at around 353K by the end of March. Revenue trends showed a gradual increase, with weekly revenue peaking at $196 in early February.

TransMi App had a consistent performance in terms of weekly downloads, starting with 12.5K and peaking at 24.1K in late January. The app maintained a stable number of active users, averaging around 114K across the quarter.

maas. showed a significant spike in weekly downloads in early March, reaching 150K. This surge was reflected in the active users, which peaked at 121K during the same period. The app’s weekly downloads and active users saw a decline towards the end of March, but still maintained a strong presence with around 23K downloads and 48K active users.
