In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 navigation apps in Brazil demonstrated varied performance across key metrics such as weekly downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a comprehensive look at the trends.

Google Maps showed a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 129K at the end of December and experiencing minor fluctuations, peaking at 134K in mid-January. Active users hovered around the 6.4M mark, with slight increases and decreases throughout the quarter, finishing at approximately 6.3M in the last week of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a more noticeable decline in weekly downloads, starting from 340K at the end of December and gradually decreasing to 157K by the end of March. Active users also saw a downward trend, starting at 6.2M and dropping to 5.8M by the end of the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options showed a positive trend in both weekly downloads and active users. Downloads began at 93K at the end of December, rising to a peak of 172K in early February, and settling at 130K by the end of March.
