In the first quarter of 2023, the top five games apps in Europe showed varied performance trends across weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared:

Candy Crush Saga from King saw its weekly revenue peak at approximately $6.1M in the last week of March, up from around $5.1M at the start of the quarter. Weekly downloads experienced a decline from 734K in early January to 456K by the end of March. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 6.6M to 7M throughout the quarter.

Roblox from Roblox Corporation had a notable weekly revenue drop from $5.8M at the end of December to approximately $3.7M by the end of March. Weekly downloads showed a gradual decline from 1.3M in late December to around 917K in the last week of March. Meanwhile, weekly active users hovered around 39M to 42M, maintaining a steady user base.

Gardenscapes by Playrix recorded a peak in weekly revenue of around $4.7M in early March, up from $2.9M at the end of December. Weekly downloads were highest in mid-January at 704K but dropped to approximately 551K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users saw a gradual increase from 2.9M to approximately 3.4M over the quarter.

Coin Master from Moon Active achieved the highest weekly revenue among the top five, peaking at around $7.6M in early January and maintaining a steady range between $6.4M and $7.2M throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads were consistent, ranging from 227K to 287K. Weekly active users increased from approximately 1.9M at the end of December to 2.3M by the end of March.

Homescapes, also by Playrix, had a more fluctuating revenue pattern, starting at $2.6M at the end of December and reaching around $2.7M by the end of March. Weekly downloads dropped significantly from 460K at the end of December to approximately 211K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a decline from 4.8M to around 4.6M over the quarter.
