Throughout the first quarter of 2023, the top finance applications in Egypt showed varying performance metrics across downloads and active users. Below, we take a closer look at the trends for each app based on data from Sensor Tower.
InstaPay Egypt saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting strong with over 410K downloads in the last week of December 2022 but then stabilizing around 120K downloads towards the end of March 2023. The number of weekly active users increased steadily, reaching approximately 686K by the end of the quarter.
Lucky ONE experienced an initial rise in weekly downloads, peaking at over 103K in mid-January, but then saw a decline, dropping to around 27K by the end of March. The weekly active users showed a similar trend, starting at 316K and gradually decreasing to 266K by the end of the quarter.
NBE Mobile had a notable peak in weekly downloads at the beginning of January with around 134K downloads. This number decreased to about 45K by the end of March. The weekly active users, however, showed a consistent increase throughout the quarter, reaching approximately 910K by the last week of March.
Olymp Trade - Online Trading demonstrated a steady performance in weekly downloads, peaking at around 74K in early January and maintaining an average of around 38K towards the end of March. The weekly active users also increased, reaching approximately 182K by the end of the quarter.
Halan: Lending, BNPL, Payments showed a significant rise in weekly downloads, peaking at about 83K in mid-March before settling at around 33K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, increasing to a peak of around 134K in mid-March before declining to approximately 99K by the end of March.
