The first quarter of 2023 has been a dynamic period for education applications in Latin America. Here is an overview of how the top 5 education apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Duolingo - Language Lessons saw a notable decline in weekly revenue, starting at around $572K in late December and ending the quarter at approximately $297K. Weekly downloads peaked at 916K in early February before gradually decreasing to 655K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users also experienced fluctuations, peaking at 6.5M in late January and settling at around 6.3M by the end of the quarter.

Brainly: AI Homework Helper showcased a strong upward trend in weekly revenue, starting from $4.2K in late December and reaching $45.6K by the end of March. Weekly downloads followed a similar trend, growing from 55K to nearly 500K during the same period. Active users increased significantly from 2.2M in late December to approximately 7M by the end of the quarter.

Photomath also demonstrated positive growth. Weekly revenue increased steadily from $8.2K in late December to around $21.4K by late March. The app's weekly downloads surged from 37K to 479K, while active users grew from 820K to 2.6M over the quarter.

Google Classroom experienced significant growth in active users, starting at 3.9M in late December and reaching 13.2M by the end of March. Downloads also saw substantial growth, from 37K in late December to 346K in mid-March. However, Google Classroom did not generate any revenue during this period.

Stellarium Mobile - Star Map showed a mixed performance. Weekly revenue peaked at $9.5K in late January but decreased to around $2.5K by the end of March. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 932K in late January before dropping to 57K by late March. Active users experienced a significant surge to 1.1M in late January and then stabilized around 239K by the end of the quarter.
