In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 shopping apps on the iOS platform in Germany exhibited diverse performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user metrics for each app.

Mein dm saw a notable peak in weekly downloads at 191K in mid-January, followed by a gradual decline, stabilizing around 22K to 24K towards the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 454K in late January before experiencing a slight decline, ending the quarter with 384K active users.

Kleinanzeigen - without eBay maintained relatively consistent download numbers throughout the quarter, ranging from 42K to 51K weekly. Active user numbers remained stable as well, starting at 1.9M and peaking at just over 2M by the end of March.

Amazon experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 49K in late December and ending at 34K in the last week of March. Active user numbers also saw a slight decrease, beginning the quarter at 1.8M and ending at 1.75M.

Hacoo - sara lower price mart had a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at 9.9K in late December and reaching a peak of 133K in the last week of March. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 54K and ending the quarter with 195K.

REWE - Online Supermarkt showed a dramatic increase in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 110K in the last week of March. Active users also surged, starting at 341K and reaching 523K by the quarter's end.
