In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 news applications on the iOS platform in Ghana showcased varied performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower reveals insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for these apps.

X from X Corp. saw significant fluctuations in its weekly revenue, starting with $1 in late December 2022 and peaking at around $579 in the week of March 20. Weekly downloads for the app remained steady, averaging around 6-7K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a consistent increase, rising from 403.7K at the end of December to approximately 428.9K by the end of March.

Opera News: Breaking & Local did not generate any revenue during the quarter. The app's downloads experienced a general decline, starting at 555 in late December and ending at 510 by the end of March. Active user numbers also saw a slight decrease, from 23.4K to 21.2K over the same period.

Quora, published by Quora, Inc., maintained zero revenue throughout the quarter. However, its downloads exhibited a gradual increase, peaking at 499 in the final week of March. Active users grew steadily from 6.8K at the end of December to nearly 7.9K by the end of March.
