In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 iOS news apps in Europe displayed a variety of trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.

X from X Corp. saw a significant surge in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $178K in the week of March 6. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable increase to around 319K in early February. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 20M throughout the quarter.

Reddit experienced a steady weekly revenue, with minor fluctuations, reaching close to $7K in late December and March. Downloads showed a downward trend, starting at around 139K in late December and dropping to approximately 97K by the end of March. Active users remained consistent, ranging between 3.75M and 3.85M.

Nextdoor: Neighborhood Network did not generate any revenue during this period. Downloads spiked to nearly 78K in early January but then declined to around 15K by the end of March. Active users showed an increasing trend from 464K in late December to around 494K by early March, before stabilizing.
