Top 5 iOS Navigation Apps in South America Q1 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 iOS navigation apps in South America displayed diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps saw robust weekly downloads, peaking at around 186K in mid-January. The app consistently maintained high downloads, with a slight dip to 166K by early March. Active users were also substantial, starting at 10M at the beginning of the quarter and slightly decreasing to 10.2M by the end of March.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a downward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 110K in late December and declining to about 66K by the end of March. Active users mirrored this trend, beginning at 5.2M and decreasing to around 4.9M over the quarter.

Moovit: All Transit Options showed increasing weekly downloads, starting at 29K in late December and reaching up to 52K by the end of February. The app's weekly revenue peaked at approximately $1.7K in mid-March. Active users also rose significantly, from 654K at the start of the quarter to nearly 1.1M by the end of March.

Bike Itaú maintained steady weekly downloads, fluctuating between 5.8K and 8.1K throughout the quarter. Active users saw a slight increase, starting at 19K and ending at approximately 22K.

Cittamobi: Transporte Coletivo had a more variable download pattern, peaking at 8.6K in early February but stabilizing around 7.3K by the end of March. Active users showed a steady increase from 83K at the beginning of January to 122K by the end of March.
