Top 5 Finance Apps on iOS in Oceania, Q1 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, the top five finance applications on iOS in Oceania showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how CommBank, PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage, ANZ Plus, ANZ Australia, and Ubank Money App performed.

CommBank experienced a slight decline in weekly downloads from 20.7K in the first week of January to 15.9K by the end of March. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 2M mark throughout the quarter.

For PayPal - Send, Shop, Manage, weekly downloads peaked at 22.3K in the first week of January and gradually decreased to 15.5K by the end of March. Active users hovered around 85K to 92K, showing some fluctuations but maintaining a consistent user base.

ANZ Plus saw weekly downloads starting at 11.6K in early January, with a slight decline to 9.7K by the end of March. Active users exhibited a steady increase, starting from 45.5K and reaching 74.9K by the end of the quarter.

ANZ Australia maintained a steady download rate, beginning at 9.5K in the first week of January and remaining around that figure throughout the quarter. Active users saw a slight increase from 591K to 609K over the same period.

Lastly, the Ubank Money App had a significant surge in weekly downloads, especially in early March, reaching a peak of 18.1K. Active users also increased from 39.2K at the start of the quarter to 60.5K by the end of March.
