Top 5 Insurance Apps on Android in South America: Q1 2023

The first quarter of 2023 saw varied performance trends among the top 5 insurance apps on the Android platform in South America. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting insights into weekly downloads and active user metrics for these applications.

Porto: Seguros, Cartão virtual from Porto Seguro experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting strong with over 27K downloads in the first week of January, the app saw a dip to around 16.8K by mid-February before recovering to approximately 23.3K by the end of March. Active users showed a steady increase, beginning at 372K in late December and climbing to over 403K by the end of March.

Bradesco Seguros also demonstrated dynamic download trends. The app began the year with 20.5K downloads, fluctuated through the quarter, and closed March with about 18.8K downloads. Active users saw a consistent pattern, starting at 116K in late December and reaching around 137K by the end of March.

Bradesco Saúde had a more stable performance in terms of downloads. Weekly downloads started at 13.3K in early January, with minor fluctuations, and ended the quarter with close to 9.8K downloads. Active users, however, showed a slight decline from 82K in late December to around 79K by the end of March.

SulAmérica Saúde witnessed a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 13.6K in late February and ending the quarter at about 12.3K. The app's active users also saw a positive trend, starting at 64.8K in late December and rising to 84K by the end of March.

Lastly, Unimed Nacional showed varied download metrics, beginning the year with 11.2K downloads, experiencing a dip in mid-February, and recovering to around 10.1K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 65.3K in late December and reaching approximately 70.2K by the end of March.
